The Georgetown University Art Galleries are pleased to host Great Women Writers ‘26, an evening of bilingual lightning readings presented by the Faculty of Literatures, Cultures, and Language Studies.
In celebration of Women’s History Month, students and faculty will share poetry, prose, and essays by women writers from across history and around the world, reflecting on the theme of mythologies. Readings will be presented in English translation alongside original languages including Arabic, German, Greek, Persian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and Turkish.
Audience-choice awards and a reception will follow.
Sponsored by the Faculty of Literatures, Cultures, and Language Studies, the Program in Women’s and Gender Studies, the Department of Slavic Languages, the Persian Studies Program, and the Georgetown University Art Galleries.
