Amanda Williams

October 20, 2022

6:00 P.M.

Maria & Alberto de la Cruz Art Gallery

Join us for a lecture by this celebrated Chicago-based artist and architect. Williams' (b. 1974, Evanston, IL) practice employs color as an operative means for drawing attention to the complex ways race informs how we assign value to the spaces we occupy. Williams’ installations, sculptures, paintings, and works on paper seek to inspire new ways of looking at the familiar and in the process, raise questions about the state of urban space and ownership in America.

This event is co-sponsored by the Georgetown University Lecture Fund.
